Simrad R509LH-W and Lowrance B275 Wide Beam CHIRP Transducers
Product Description
The Simrad R509LH-W and Lowrance B275 transducers are advanced wide beam CHIRP transducers designed to provide enhanced depth measurement and fast-response water temperature sensing for marine electronics. These transducers employ broadband CHIRP technology with wide beam angles to cover more area beneath the boat, improving fish detection and bottom imaging.
The Simrad R509LH-W operates with low frequencies from 28 to 60 kHz and high frequencies from 150 to 250 kHz, featuring 25 internal broadband ceramics for improved signal strength. It has an epoxy housing with a stuffing tube and high-performance fairing, suitable for boats up to 12 meters (40 feet), and supports fiberglass, wood, or metal hulls. This transducer can retrofit existing R209 installations.
The Lowrance B275 offers low-frequency CHIRP from 42 to 65 kHz with variable beamwidths from 25° to 16°, and high-frequency CHIRP from 150 to 250 kHz with a constant 25° beamwidth. It covers a total of 123 kHz bandwidth, including popular fishing frequencies at 50 and 200 kHz. The bronze housing supports hulls with up to 20° deadrise and is suitable for boats 8 meters (25 feet) and larger.
Both transducers promise twice the coverage under the boat compared to standard narrow beam transducers, delivering crisp, large return images for better visualization on displays.
