Product Description

The Simrad RS-100-B is a modular VHF marine communication system integrated with Class-B AIS transmitter and receiver for enhanced safety and situational awareness. The system includes an external dedicated GPS-500 receiver ensuring precise AIS transmission. It supports up to eight handsets (four wired and four wireless) and up to four external speakers, providing seamless onboard communication. The unit features configurable external speakers with volume offsetting and groups handset backlight settings with the NMEA 2000 backlight system for synchronous control with MFDs.

Conversely, the RS100 Black Box VHF system offers similar modular expansion but without the integrated AIS transmitter; however, it includes an integrated GPS receiver and supports AIS functionality with an optional GPS-500. Both systems support NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 connectivity and include advanced features like Track Buddy for monitoring up to five vessels, 60-second audio rewind, and multi-channel watch for safety.
