Product Description

The ACR SR203 is an FCC and IMO-approved handheld survival VHF radio designed for marine emergencies. It features a backlit digital display and control buttons for easy use in low light conditions. Upon activation, the radio automatically tunes to emergency Channel 16 and has a single push button to instantly send distress calls. The SR203 boasts exceptional battery life—over 16 hours continuous operation with the lithium primary battery even at -4°F (-20°C), and up to 6 hours with the optional rechargeable lithium polymer battery.

It is designed with a battery protection tab allowing the primary lithium battery to remain installed without losing charge until activation. The radio is rugged, waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes, and equipped to meet all IMO requirements. The highly efficient transmitter operates at 2.5 watts on high and 1 watt on low, with 21 channels including weather channels. Optional accessories include a quick-release rapid charger for the rechargeable battery option.
