Airmar's R509 series CHIRP-ready transducers are designed for exceptional deep-water and mid-depth fishfinding performance on a variety of vessels. These transducers combine low-frequency power for long-range depth tracking with the fine resolution of high or medium frequency bands for detailed target separation and bottom distinction.

The R509C-LHW (Low-High Wide) is a 3 kW transducer providing combined low frequencies (28-60 kHz) with wide high frequencies (150-250 kHz) featuring 25° beamwidth for superior shallow-water coverage and detailed fish-target separation down to 152 m (500 feet). Its low frequency excels to depths of 3,048 m (10,000 feet) for deep-water applications. The unit has a urethane housing with a fairing for optimal performance and a 15 m (49 ft) bare wire cable.

The R509C-LM (Low-Medium) delivers low (28-60 kHz) and medium (80-130 kHz) frequencies with narrower beams (11°x23° to 5°x9° at low band, 13° to 8° at medium band). It provides excellent resolution at mid-depths to 914 m (3,000 feet), coupled with deep-water tracking to 3,048 m. The nylon housing and fairing offer durability and optimized sonar signal quality.

The R509C-LH (Low-High) provides low frequencies between 28-60 kHz and high frequencies from 130-210 kHz with narrow beams (8° to 4°), delivering extreme target detail and excellent bottom discrimination in both shallow and deep waters, with maximum depth capabilities up to 457 m (1,500 ft) at high frequencies and 3,048 m at low frequencies.

All R509 models include depth and fast-response water-temperature sensors, urethane acoustic windows, bare wire cables, and patented Xducer ID® technology for easy integration.
