Airmar R599 Low-Medium and Low-High CHIRP-Ready In-Hull Transducers

Product Description

The Airmar R599 series are high-powered, CHIRP-ready in-hull transducers designed for superior deep-water and mid-depth sonar performance. These transducers deliver 2 to 3 kW of power, allowing coverage of extreme depth ranges and exceptional target resolution for commercial and sport fishing.

The R599C-LM (Low-Medium) model operates at low frequencies of 28 to 60 kHz with a broad beamwidth of 23° to 9° port-starboard and 11° to 5° fore-aft, supporting depth performance down to 3,048 meters (10,000 feet). It combines this with medium frequency operation from 80 to 130 kHz with a beamwidth of 13° to 8°, offering detailed imaging to 914 meters (3,000 feet). This transducer covers popular fishing frequencies including 38, 50, 88, and 107 kHz, delivering 82 kHz total bandwidth.

The R599C-LH (Low-High) model maintains the same low-frequency specs for long-range depth but couples it with high-frequency coverage ranging 130 to 210 kHz and a narrower 8° to 4° beamwidth for precise shallow-water targeting and bottom resolution. Its high-frequency range covers popular fishing frequencies like 50 and 200 kHz and supports depth tracking up to 457 meters (1,500 feet).

Both models feature urethane housings with plastic mounting tanks, patented Xducer ID® technology for plug-and-play identification, and are designed for installation inside the hull without drilling. They are optimized for vessels with solid fiberglass hulls up to 12 meters (40 feet) in length and can accommodate hull deadrise angles up to 22°.
