The Blue Sea Systems 285-Series circuit breakers provide medium-duty circuit protection combined with switching functionality. These thermal breakers are designed as drop-in replacements for the 185-Series, offering easy retrofit and installation. They are ignition protected, meeting SAE J1171 external ignition protection requirements, making them safe for gasoline-powered boats. The weather-resistant design with a visible reset lever that shows the open condition enhances safety by clearly indicating tripped circuits. The “Trip Free” design prevents the breaker from being held closed after tripping, ensuring reliable circuit protection.
