The Furuno DRS12AX "X-Class" radar represents a significant advancement in conventional radar technology, delivering enhanced short- and long-range target detection with a maximum range of 96 nautical miles. Ideal for commercial and recreational vessels, it features a new pedestal design that is 20% lighter than previous models and equipped with a low noise motor for quieter operation. Installation and maintenance are simplified by the updated smart-connector cable and no separate power supply unit is required, helping reduce total system costs.

Key technological features include:

• Fast Target Tracking™: Target course and speed vectors are displayed instantly upon selection, improving situational awareness and safety.

• Bird Mode: Detects and clearly separates flocks of birds from vessel targets, helping identify fish schools or improving clutter distinction.

• Minimum detection range of just 20 meters, advantageous for close-quarter navigation.

• Dual range scanning capability enables simultaneous monitoring of both near and far targets.

• Compatible with NavNet TZtouch and TZtouch2 systems (not compatible with NavNet 3D or earlier versions).

• Operates on 24 VDC power; requires a voltage converter for 12 VDC systems.
