Product Description

The Icom M424G is a marine VHF radio offering a simple remote control speaker-microphone (HM-205B/SW), NMEA 0183 connectivity, and compatibility with MarineCommander™ software. Featuring AquaQuake™ water draining function and IPX7 submersible protection, it supports weather channels with alerts, dual and tri-watch, and priority scans. The intuitive interface combines a rotary selector, directional keypad, white backlit LCD, and keypad for easy operation matching modern boat designs. The built-in active noise cancelling reduces background noise by up to 90% on reception and 30% on transmission. It includes a 10W amplifier for loud external audio with public address and foghorn capabilities. The radio monitors Channel 70 DSC activity and supports full DSC functions including distress, individual, group, and all ships calls. The integrated GPS receiver displays position and time for DSC use, with selectable internal or external GPS sources. Optional white backlit COMMANDMIC™ HM-195GB/GW remotes enable additional communication stations with intercom functionality. AIS target calls can be made when connected to the optional MA-510TR Class B AIS transponder.
