The Icom M85 series are compact, rugged VHF handheld radios designed to withstand harsh marine and land environments. With a MIL-STD 810 build and IP67 waterproof rating, these radios incorporate AquaQuake™ to prevent water-logged speakers and offer built-in voice scrambler (32 codes) for private communication. The radios support dual/tri-watch, priority scan, favorite channels, weather channels with alerts, and 100 programmable land mobile channels at 2W output. Easy-to-read user displays feature icons for power, scan, VOX status, and weather. For emergencies, the M85 includes MOB alarm, man down, and lone worker functions triggering automated alerts. The intrinsically safe M85UL version meets ANSI and UL safety standards for hazardous environments.
