Product Description

The Shakespeare Style 5216 is a compact, lightweight, end-fed center-loaded stainless steel whip antenna designed specifically for sailboat racers and vessels where weight and size matter. It features a 15" stainless steel whip with a black finish, included black L-bracket for mast mounting, and a gold-plated connector for enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance. The antenna offers unity gain, suitable for reliable VHF marine communication with a maximum input power of 25 watts. Its bandwidth encompasses 5 MHz within 2.0:1 VSWR, with a nominal SWR of 1.5:1 at 156.8 MHz, vertical polarization, 50-ohm impedance, and no DC ground (continuity reads open).

The Style 5218 features a black stainless steel whip and includes a black magnetic mount, enabling fast, easy setup on magnet-friendly surfaces. It comes with 15 feet of RG-58 A/U coax cable and a PL-259 connector for plug-and-play use. It offers similar performance to the 5216, with a slightly longer whip length (19") and a broader 7 MHz bandwidth.

Both antennas carry a 2-year limited warranty and are optimized for short-range marine VHF communication where compactness, ease of installation, and performance are critical.
