Product Description

The Shakespeare Style 5250 Skinny Mini antennas are compact, lightweight, end-fed 1/2-wave stainless steel whip antennas designed for marine VHF applications where space is limited, such as bass boats and center console fishing vessels. The antennas feature a durable chrome-plated brass canister that minimizes de-tuning common with plastic canisters. Each antenna includes a sealed, tin-plated copper wire coil element and the whip itself measures 36 inches.

Both models come with 15 feet of RG-58 coaxial cable terminated by a PL-259 connector and require a mount with a center hole for the cable to pass through. Suggested mounts include Shakespeare Style 4187, 5187, 4188-S, or 4190 Ratchet Mounts (sold separately).

The standard 5250 model offers a bandwidth of 7 MHz within 2.0:1 VSWR, while the 5250-AIS is designed to meet broader bandwidth requirements of popular AIS transceivers, offering a 6 MHz bandwidth within the same VSWR limits.
