Product Description

Simrad’s NAC-3 and NAC-2 VRF Core Packs are the essential control modules for marine autopilot systems, designed to serve different vessel sizes and power requirements. Both packs feature the advanced Precision-9 compass and a NMEA 2000 backbone starter kit for seamless integration with existing navigation electronics. Each NAC autopilot computer contains sophisticated algorithms for reliable helming across a wide range of sea states, and the ability to directly manage hydraulic or mechanical drive units, as well as solenoid valves.

The NAC-3 VRF Core Pack is intended for larger boats (10 meters/33 feet and above) with high-current hydraulic drives, mechanical drives, or solenoids, offering 30A continuous (50A peak) current capability. The NAC-2 VRF Core Pack is optimized for vessels up to 10 meters (33 feet), perfectly supporting low-current drives at 8A continuous (16A peak).

Both units support NMEA 2000® and NMEA 0183 networking, and feature variable voltage or resistive rudder feedback input, alarm outputs, and clutch or bypass actuation.
