Product Description

The Xantrex Freedom XC series offers premium true sine wave inverter/charger performance in a lightweight and compact design, ideal for vehicle and marine power systems requiring reliable, clean power for sensitive and motor loads. Both models feature an extended surge rating that allows surging up to twice continuous power for 2 seconds to start motor-driven devices like refrigerators and microwaves. Equipped with ignition control, the inverter can be turned on/off with a 12 VDC signal, reducing battery drain by disabling when the ignition is off. The wide 10-18 VDC input range supports operation on high voltage alternators common in modern vehicle chassis. A built-in 30A AC transfer relay automatically switches load between inverter and incoming AC power from shore or generator. Convenient quick-connect AC terminals and a large wiring bay enable fast and easy installation. The advanced power factor corrected multi-stage battery charger optimizes shore power use and battery health, and is programmable to accommodate various battery chemistries with temperature compensation and equalization capabilities. The inverter can even charge dead batteries down to 0 Vdc, while the power share feature prioritizes AC loads by regulating charge current.
